I wonder why I have always got problems with laundries?? Is it just me or is it them??? Gggrrrr the thought of if just made me really pissed!

It all started when our washing machine suddenly went berserk and Sari adopted Adau and Andrea as new members of our unit. They both occupy the back terrace where I use to hang dry my clean washed clothes. Since then I had to look for laundries that would wash my wardrobe off.

I have never found any laundry that would give me satisfaction so far.. About 2 years ago I was happy enough to know that a new laundry shop is opening. Lavandera looks really promising because they got all the front load washing machine and dryer in the shop. The place looks really neat and tidy as well. I have been also seeing lots of its franchise shops around Makati and Manila area. I thought of it as a laundry that would give me premium quality service as their rates are a little higher compared to the others. I was willing to spend a little more for my contentment.

The tragedy started last December 2006 when we had JJs’ new shirt washed at the laundry. It was a blue polo shirt from Design Concept. He had it bought specially for the Xmas celebration in Dusit Hotel. After having our laundry delivered by Lavandera, we were so surprised to find out that the new shirt has bleaching spots all over. We can’t help ourselves but complaint. We went straight to the shop that night and asked for the manager. She wasn’t around and so we asked for the owners’ contact number, but the staffs there are just full of excuses. They prefer to solve the problem themselves and wouldn’t want the upper management know regarding what happen to the blue shirt. They offered to replace JJ with a new shirt of the same kind. We kinda felt bad but we thought it was the most fair thing to do.

Since that incident the Lavandera staffs attitude towards me and JJ became very peculiar. They would not reply to our text messages for pick ups, or they would come real late without bringing the scale to pick up the dirty laundry. They really got us to the nerves, so we decided to look for other laundries and we finally found Metrowash.

Metrowash services are better in some area, like offering lower rates, friendly cashier and never late pick up guy. We really got no problems with their courtesy. The only thing that’s bothering us is that the clothes sometimes smell silly after having it washed dispite the Downy we have provided them. We encountered the clothes smelling like “minyak tahah” for a couple of times.. hehehehe.. weird!!! So.. soo weird!!! How can a clean laundry smell like minyak tanah???

Me and JJ tried talking to the cashier nicely twice and explain our concern.. We told her that we felt like the person in charge in washing the clothes are not using the Downy we have given them. Even without the extra fabric conditioner, the clothes are not supposed to smell that way.  All the cashier did was nod. Arrggghhh SebeeLL banget!!! We felt bad because what we need is an assurance that something like this will not happen again, but nothing like it came out of her mouth.

Me and JJ are now in the stage of searching for other laundries.. huhuhuhu. This is a never ending silliest stupidest thing that has ever happen to our lives. Please help us find a decent laundry that would give excellent service. All we need is very simple, fresh smelling clothes and a pick up – delivery service. That’s it!

Because of this experience, I kept thinking to my self of establishing a laundry shop in the future that would provide those simple little things that are lacking from the laundry shops available today    

Me and She are passing our proposals tomorrow, Aileen is passing hers next week. And we are all enrolling by the week after. I hope tomorrow would be a very lucky day for us, as the date is a rare occurrence, its 07/07/07.. wooooowww, isn’t it weird??? Mudah-mudahan aja semuanya berjalan lancar besok.. doa gwe semoga proposal kita bertiga disetujuin, dan kita semua bisa cepet lulus… Amin.. amin.. ya robal alamin…
